The Pittsburgh ISA Section Presents: Kennywood-Behind the Rides Tour
Kennywood is opened their gates for the Automation community to tour the park, and see both the rides and the controls that run the rides. We saw process controls that were built in the early years and have been updated thru the years along with new rides featuring PLC’s. The tour was conducted by Andy Quinn, who gave us the history of the Park and rides, along with Bill Marvenko, Chief of Electrical Maintenance, who explained the controls for several of their famous rides.
