As the first ISA section more than 50 years ago, the Pittsburgh Section continues with a rich tradition of giving back to the people of the industries that made it great. Our monthly meetings are geared to bringing in top-notch speakers to educate and inform our section member for topical subjects in the world of process control and automation. We welcome all members and newcomers, to join us at our monthly meetings.

Pittsburgh FIRST®
On January 18th Dr. Patricia DePra (the Regional Director for FIRST®) discussed the national alliance partnership between FIRST®, the Automation Federation and the ISA. The Pittsburgh Regional FIRST® Robotics Competition takes place at the Petersen Event Center, March 8-10, 2012. The event is free and open to the public. More importantly, they need volunteers and mentors for the event. If you would like to make a difference in the lives of local high school students (our future engineers and technicians), consider volunteering for Pittsburgh FIRST®. The 9/21/2011 Tour of Kennywood was a great success. We had over 50 attendees from industry and the PTI ISA student section. We hope to see you there again next year. Check out the photos of the tour.
